Did you know that Home Inspectors don’t have to be certified in the state of Iowa? There is no regulation in our state when it comes to home inspectors! Any random person, no matter how little training or education, can market themselves as a home inspector. That is a scary thought! This makes it that much important to find an inspector who is educated, experienced, and certified when you are making your decision on purchasing a home.

Matt Minard, the owner of Whitetail Home Inspections, has been certified by InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors) which is the largest association of certified home inspectors in the nation. He is also certified by ICA (Inspection Certificate Associates), and had extensive hands on training through AHIT (American Home Inspectors Training). In addition, he has more than 15 years of experience in construction, land development, home inspections, rehabbing homes, and owning/maintaining rental properties. Matt is also a member of the Black Hawk County Board of Realtors, and is certified for radon testing in the state of Iowa by the University of Minnesota.
